All social media cover photo sizes right at your finger tips!
It’s important to make sure your brand and visual identity is consistent across all platforms. But at the same time, it is also important to customize your images and content to each social channel and the audience you are trying to engage with. One of the slight customizations you will need to make is image sizing. Your cover photos will need to be sized differently for each platform to ensure nothing gets cropped out, or covered.
It takes valuable time out of your day to constantly be Googling “What size is a *insert your chosen social media platform here* cover photo”, but that’s why we’re here!
To help you out, we’ve compiled a listed of the cover photo sizes you will need to know to roll out a consistent look across all social platforms.
- Twitter header: 1500px x 500px
- Facebook cover photo size: 828px x 465px
- Pinterest cover photo: 800px x 800px (Board cover image)
- LinkedIn background photo (personal): 1400px x 425px
- LinkedIn banner image (business): 646px x 220px

Anatomy of a Facebook profile page "header":
Remember to take into account any blockage from profile pictures. You may notice the profile picture overlaps the cover photo or there is a text overlay on accounts such as Twitter, LinkedIn (personal account), and Google+. So you will need to take that into consideration when creating a design.
TIP: although profile picture size differs for each social channel, you can create one image at a large enough size to accommodate the highest requirement. 400px X 400px is a good rule of thumb for a size when it comes to creating one profile picture that you will be able to use across all platforms.
